PARABLES OF HH SHRI NATHJI

February 8
From the memoirs of HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992)
Founder of the World Prayer Day for Peace

THE TRAVELER IN THE DARK

There was a traveler, who, having lost his
way, found himself in a dark and threatening
forest. Numerous were the howlings of
jackals and cries of other wild beasts which
pierced his ears and struck terror into his
heart.

With the setting of the sun, the shadows
deepened and his eyes could see nothing.
Up above in the sky he saw a few tiny stars
that sparkled in their own light and thus
rendered themselves visible.

He stumbled on blindly, guided only by the
tiny specks of light above.

But these were soon to disappear, for dark,
forbidding clouds filled the sky. Alas!

Misery does not come alone! The sky was
filled with the rumbling of thunder, and a
storm appeared to be on its way.

Lightning flashed across the sky. The
traveler was miserable.

But the thunder and
lightning were not without effect; the claps
of thunder terrified the wild beasts who
slunk back into their lairs, whilst the
lightning provided a light by which the
traveler found his path.

On reaching home,
the traveler had occasion to thank the very
clouds which he had so fervently cursed
before – for truly without them there would
have been no lightning and hence no light
which would have revealed to the traveler
his true path.

It is thus that the Grace of God reveals itself like a lightning flash when man is in trouble. What man believes to be an increase in misery may in fact be the ending of it!

"LIFE IS A TAVERN"

A King stood on the second floor at his palace window.
A Fakir, a Holy Man in rags, passed beneath his window and said to the King:

"O King! Is there a place in your tavern for me to stay the night?
The King was annoyed and shouted at the Fakir on the street below:

"O Foolish Fakir! Can't you see this is my palace and I am the King? Are you insulting me by calling my Palace a Tavern where people come and go?"

The Fakir said: "O King! I know it is your palace and I know you are the King. That is why I am calling this place a Tavern!"

The King shot back angrily: "O Fakir! If you were not a Holy Man I would have had your head for this insult! But I give you a chance to explain yourself! Why are you calling my Palace a Tavern?"

The Fakir said: "O King you are on the throne today. But who was on the throne before you?"

"My Father!" said the King

"And before him?"

"His father? My grandfather."

"And before him?"

"My great grandfather and my forefathers.."

The Fakir continued: " Will you sit on this throne forever?"

"No, " said the King.

"Who will come after you?"

"My son!"

"And will your son remain on the throne forever?"

"No!"

"Who will come after him?"

"His son, and then his grandson and great grandson and so on.."

And the Fakir said in a loud voice that thrilled in the atmosphere as if a vital truth had rung out loud:

"O KING! WHO SAYS THIS IS NOT A TAVERN WHERE SO MANY HAVE COME AND GONE, AND SO MANY MUST COME AND GO!!"

Indeed this is the one vital truth which man forgets when living in the hub-bub of the world and begetting children and collecting wealth -- that everyone must leave this world one day.

That this world is like a tavern in which people come, stay awhile and then depart. The history of the world speaks of the millions and billions who have come into this world and gone.

HH Shri Nathji used to say with great loudness:

"THIS WORLD IS NOT OUR HOME!
WE SHALL HAVE TO LEAVE IT ONE DAY!
THE MILLIONS WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US
TELL US THAT WE TOO MUST ONE DAY LEAVE!"

STOP WORRYING

STOP WORRYING

Memoirs of HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) Founder of the World Prayer Day for Peace.

If you are surrounded by troubles then use this golden formula below. Say to yourself:

"WHY ARE YOU TROUBLED?
DO YOU NOT BELONG TO GOD
AND IS HE NOT YOURS?

"THIS THOUGHT WILL CLEANSE YOUR MIND IN EVERY TROUBLE.
FOLLOW TRUTH AND CARE NOT WHAT LABOR IT MAY BRING,
HE WHOSE LAWS YOU KEEP, HIMSELF WILL CARE FOR YOU!"

MYSTICAL SAYINGS OF HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI (1902-1992) FOUNDER OF THE WORLD PRAYER DAY FOR PEACE

February 17

HH Shri Bhola Nathji made this statement just a few months before he left the world in His Physical Form in September 1992 at the age of 90.

There were several occasions when HH Shri Bhola Nathji was before just a few persons or sometimes only me, as his son, and he would make statements that were absolutely astounding, but which revealed what his personality already revealed that he was a Being who was from some other world. It was the Kingdom of God.
He did not make these statements to impress anyone - they were a part of his very Being and Existence as God upon Earth.

"DEATH TREMBLES BEFORE ME!
IT CANNOT COME TO ME UNLESS I WILL IT!"

"I DO NOT BELONG TO THIS WORLD. I HAVE COME FROM ANOTHER WORLD.

"WHEN MY WORK IN THIS WORLD IS FINISHED I SHALL GO TO THE OTHER WORLDS WHERE PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR ME!

" FOR AS LONG AS I AM HERE I SHALL GO ON DOING MY WORK AND WHEN I GO THERE MY WORK SHALL CONTINUE..."

DO NOT BE AFRAID

February 19

From the Thoughts of HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992)
Founder of the World Prayer Day for Peace.

"You are afraid of what tomorrow may bring.
And in this fear you destroy the happiness
that you possess today.

You enshroud the moon of today in the
clouds of tomorrow.

This reasoning is wrong.
What tomorrow may bring is uncertain;
whether tomorrow comes or not is uncertain
in itself.

Your garden is laden with flowers. Go out
and enjoy the fragrance and fill your heart
with their beauty and let your sight dance
upon them.

And when winter comes, and the leaves dry
up and fall, and the flowers wither, then take
joy in the knowledge of the fact that the
going away of the old is merely a prelude to
the coming of the new."

WHY GOD DOES NOT LISTEN TO YOUR PRAYERS

February 4
From the memoirs of HH Shri Bhola Nathji( 1902-1992) Founder of the World Prayer Day for Peace.

God does not listen to your prayers when:-

1. The Prayers are not genuine. For example you are praying for someone else but your prayers lack the fervor they would have if you were praying for yourself.

2. Your prayers will be harmful for you. You are asking for the wrong thing.

3. You are praying for something to be given to you at your time, but He wishes to give you at His chosen time, which will bring the best results.

4. You are praying for something which is small, but He wishes to give you something that is Great.

For example, you are invited for dinner at 8 pm. You go to the house of the Host and sit at the dining table. The Host disappears inside the kitchen and does not emerge, hours, pass. You feel he does not want to give the dinner and get up to go.

Just then he comes out of the kitchen and says:

"Stay! Don't go away! The dinner has been delayed because if I had fed you at 8 pm it would have been ordinary food.. But I was preparing several exotic dishes and delicacies, which took a long time to prepare. That was the cause of the delay.

When God does not give you what you want for a long time, He may be preparing to give you a whole lot more than you even dream't of!

Go on knocking at His Door and wait. It HAS to open. Because there is just this ONE door.

MYSTICAL SAYING OF HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI (1902-1992) the Founder of the World Prayer Day for Peace.

February 3
He always said; "God is Love and God is Peace. That is His Real Glory!"

There were many comments that HH Shri Bhola Nathji made from time to time which showed the innate Divinity of His Real Self and the Oneness with God which he always felt.

Who was He? No one will Ever understand in totality. Though many regarded him as God Incarnate, he called himself, Ghulam Rue Zameen, which means The Servant of the Earth.

He made many comments off-hand, which were in fact divine revelations, and which were not meant to impress people but because they were outpourings from his heart which came out before anyone who was present.

"THIS IS NOT MY VOICE. IT IS THE VOICE OF GOD!"

"SOMETIMES I REVEAL MYSELF BEFORE THE WORLD,

"AND SOMETIMES I CONCEAL MYSELF.

"BUT IN MYSELF I AM NEITHER REVEALED NOR CONCEALED!"

"FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SEE GOD IN AN INVISIBLE FORM, I REMAIN INVISIBLE!

"FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO SEE GOD IN A VISIBLE FORM, I BECOME VISIBLE!

"BUT IN MY OWN SELF, I AM NEITHER VISIBLE NOR INVISIBLE"
