It is commonly said that scientists are atheists and do not believe in God. They believe that the Universe created itself.
There are many very orthodox religionists who become vexed with scientists and lose control over themselves.
When the greatest scientist in the world today Dr. Stephen Hawkins said that the Universe did not need God, many a religionist had a field day damning him to perdition and saying that, that was why he was stricken with a horrible disease and confined to a chair.
Such dreadful religionists are no better than the Inquisitors at the time of the bad ages in History.
It was a time when it was a sin to say that the earth was but a small planet moving around the Sun. Galileo was almost killed for this belief. The religionists said that the earth was something special and that the rest of the Universe went around the earth, and didn't matter anyway.
We must thank God that we are living in a much better age although even now the dreadful Hydra of religious intolerance keeps popping its head every now and then.
But the fact is that a scientist cannot, and will not, deny the existence of God because he is a rational thinker, and rational thinking tells us that God is a MUST in the scheme of creation -- no matter whether we believe in evolution or Adam and Eve.
Here is why it is impossible for a scientist to deny the existence of God:
Look at a table made of wood. Now if someone were to tell you that the wood cut itself, the nails came from nowhere and they hammered themselves in, and the table was smoothed and given four legs so that it could be used in a purposeful way to keep things on it -- and that all this happened by itself!
Would a scientist believe it ?
No. Newton's Laws say that nothing can move unless it is moved. A force must be applied before anything is hammered or drilled or planed.
In short: the existence of the wooden table proves the existence of an intelligent force that created the table -- the carpenter!!
The table is before us but the carpenter is not. So how can any scientist ever say that the table created itself? Never.
Look at the Highly Intelligent, Purposeful Universe around us. It contains an answer to all the needs of man. For the lungs there is air, for the eyes, there is light, for the ears there is sound, for the brain there are thoughts to think, the list is endless.. everything around us has a purposeful design which points to a Highly Intelligent Creator of the Universe.
The human body is a marvel in itself. No other human is capable of creating a human body with life in it. No human is capable of creating such a vast Universe.
The Universe is a Miracle around us which cries out loudly that it has a Highly Intelligent Creator, a Superpower that is beyond imagination.
Religions tell us that God is Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent.
Science merely proves this! It shows that the Universe extends for billions of miles in all directions, billions of tons of matter exist out there in the wilderness of space, billions of stars like our Sun and maybe billions of worlds like our earth--- and perhaps billions of religions in all the Universe taken together.
What religion had postulated on the basis of Faith, Science has proven with its instruments!!
If anything, Science is complementing religion, it can never deny the existence of God.
Albert Einstein himself had said that the most beautiful feeling we can experience is the power of the mystical, that something sublime exists which is beyond our comprehension, and that feeling is at the center of true religiousness.
Science is decorating the world of God , giving greater comfort to mankind and making the world more beautiful, it is trying to give greater and greater happiness to man and freedom from the miseries of diseases and old age.
Religion is trying to do the same in its own way.
SCIENCE IS DECORATING THE WORLD OF GOD.
AND THE GREATEST DISCOVERY OF SCIENCE WILL ONE DAY BE GOD HIMSELF.
