Yes, indeed, it is sad that the eternal immortal soul of man is running after the perishable objects of the world, and has lost sight of its Goal in Life, God, in whom salvation lies, as well as the world.
Man has forgotten that he is just a guest in this world, who comes one day, stays for one day and then leaves one day.
The Host is God, and it is important that the guest must live in the house of his Host after establishing a relationship with the Host.
Then all his needs will be provided for, by the Host.
But man has forgotten the Host and is running after the things his Host has provided him with.
He has forgotten that he must one day leave this house of the Host, this world.
And he has no idea where he will go after he has left the world.
He lives in desires and he dies in desires. He lives in sorrows and he dies in sorrows.
Happiness is like the twinkling light of the stars in the dark sea of sorrow of the skies.
The very fact that there is no happiness in this world, and the search for happiness cannot be given up, is the strongest proof of the existence of God-- in whom alone Eternal Happiness and Salvation exist.
