INGRATITUDE TOWARDS GOD

INGRATITUDE TOWARDS GOD
=============================================
If a friend does a favour for you, like get you a good job, or
sponsor your visit abroad, or arranges your marriage, or otherwise helps you financially, or even saves your life-- how grateful you remain to him all your life, and how many times you ask him whether you can do anything in return for him! In fact your focus is on pleasing him for all he has given you in life.
But when God grants a multitude of favours upon you, fulfilling
even impossible wishes with His miracles for you-- do you remain grateful to him?
Apart from a few prayers of thanks or your weekly visits to your
Places of Worship, do you actively do any service for God? No, the thought never even strikes you.
In fact it is anathema for you.You run away even from the thought or ignore it altogether.
You begin to enjoy the good life and status He has given you, to sing and dance, and if anyone reminds you that it is all due to God, you merely say " Maybe " but you also say:
"I worked so hard. My knowledge and choices were so perfect and exact, I had to succeed! I always get whatever I want. That is what ambition is all about!"
You attribute every gain and success in life to your own strength
and forget the number of times you had prayed to Him and begged Him to give you the things you want.
You forget when you were like a zero who came before the One, God, and He made you Ten.
In return for this favour, you begin to ignore the One, and believe in your own strength. In effect you cast aside God and believe your successes were due to your own ability.
You forget that others with greater ability failed, where you
succeeded miraculously with the grace of God.
What happens when the zero in Ten casts aside the One?
Ten is 10. Now take away the 1, and what does it become?-- a 0 again.
And thus man turns into a zero through his ingratitude towards God who gave Him everything... and discovers that failure after failure on all fronts begins to follow Him.
This is the Law of Karma, the natural result of ingratitude to
God.
The tree that flourished with fruits and flowers, and which forgot to thank God for everything given to it, finds that one day it is suddenly uprooted and thrown aside by a storm.
And man begins to wonder? What went wrong all of a sudden?
It was not all of a sudden. It was the result of his own ingratitude..
