HH Shri Bhola Nathji who was a great spiritual luminary, was also
well-known for his irrefutable logic on the most complex of spiritual
themes, and who made spiritual truths easy to understand for all.
Almost every religion in the world teaches us that there is another world beyond this world, and where we must all eventually go, and that is the Kingdom of God.
Once a philosopher from Europe came to see HH Shri Bhola Nathji and said to him:
"All the religions of the world speak of a Kingdom of God or Kingdom of Heaven after this life -- but what if there is nothing beyond?"
HH Shri Nathji said: "And what if there is?"
The Philosopher said: "I am a rationalist. I do not accept something which I have not seen, so I cannot accept the Kingdom of God as being something real!"
HH Shri Nathji said: " Using your arguments I can say that I do not accept the existence of Europe because I have never seen it!"
The philosopher said: "But I have proofs that Europe exists. Things come to us which are made in Europe. They prove that Europe exists!"
HH Shri Nathji: "This entire Universe that exists could not have created itself. It proves the existence of its Creator, God, and the Kingdom of God."
The philosopher: "But people come from Europe that prove the existence of Europe!"
HH Shri Nathji: "People also come from the Kingdom of God that prove the existence of the Kingdom of God! The prophets, saints and sages, messiahs and avatars of all faiths!
I, too, have come from there!"
Philosopher: "Come! let me finish this argument. Let me take you to Europe with me!"
HH Shri Nathji laughed: "But why should I believe you? How do I know you are not deceiving me, and you may not rob me along the way!!"
Philosopher: "I am a man of integrity. I want nothing from you. Why should I deceive you? Have faith in me!"
HH Shri Bhola Nathji: "If FAITH is all that is necessary, then why don't you have FAITH in me that there is a Kingdom of God!"
"In the end it is a matter of FAITH. We must know that all the great saints, sages, saviours, prophets, and avatars who came into this world wanted nothing from us, they were people with unquestionable integrity and righteousness, and we must have FAITH in their words that there is a Kingdom of God."
"It should be the goal of every person upon earth to reach the Kingdom of God, while leading a life of love,faith and service upon this earth!"
