THE PORTRAIT THAT WON THE HEARTS OF ALL

THE PORTRAIT THAT WON THE HEARTS OF ALL
=============================================
The portrait of HH Shri Nathji shown here was taken in 1932 by a famous Italian Photographer who had settled down in India and had a Photo Studio in Mussoorie, in the Himalayan Mountains.
He took this portrait in natural sunlight through his skylight and later coloured it.
The portrait was placed in his showcase by Julian Rust and crowds would gather just to see the Divine Radiance and the Divine Innocence of a Divine Personality, they knew as HH Shri Bhola Nathji who lived in Mussoorie at that time.
Many sought to buy the portrait from him but he refused to sell it, saying that it had become his very life.
Later, when Julian Rust was closing his establishment, a certain Nawab Istafa Khan purchased the portrait from him and also became a great devotee of HH Shri Bhola Nathji.
He placed the portrait in his home with the following verse written beneath:
"What strange beauty surrounds this face of a stranger before me,
Even Hindus do see the Glory of God in it."
