THE WOUND WITHIN

THE WOUND WITHIN
=================================================
From the Thoughts of a Great Spiritual Luminary, HH Shri Bhola Nathji, who gave peace and beatitude to countless folk during his lifetime and whose thoughts and words still inspire humanity.
=================================================
There are times in life when you see people apparently living in affluence and wealth, laughing and making merry in the world, and you often wish you had happiness like theirs. But then, recall this small parable of HH Shri Bhola Nathji to know how fortunate you are not to be like them!
"There is a wound in the hand. The hand is wrapped in a silken cloth. The hand with the beautiful cloth is good to look at from the outside.
Within it there is a burning hell. The lookers-on do praise the finery that surrounds the hand. He, whose hand it is, holds back his tears in an effort to conceal his misery.
Is not the naked hand that has no wound and no cloth far better than this one? He, whose hand this is, knows no pain and sorrow.
So it is with the mind that knows no rest. It is like the wounded hand, for though surrounded it may be with all the pleasures of the world, internally there is no joy."
