He was renowned for making the most complex of Spiritual Truths simple
and easy to understand. Intellectuals and philosophers, ordinary folk,
and even children, nodded in agreement with the irrefutable logic of his
honeyed words that carried a divine touch which took everyone beyond
space and time.
His Invisible Presence and his words continue to guide humanity even today.

When a man finds himself living in luxury, surrounded by great wealth and power and everything else that he needs in life, instead of becoming more grateful to God he has a tendency to forget Him altogether. This is illustrated by the following episode.
HH Shri Bhola Nathji was going for a walk in Mussoorie in the 1950's when he met an old acquaintance from Calcutta, a very successful lawyer, who had done very well for himself at a relatively young age.
Upon an impulse the lawyer said to HH Shri Nathji:
"Why do we need to know God?"
HH Shri Nathji asked in return:
"Why do you need to eat food?"
"Hunger forces us to eat!" said the lawyer.
"Why do you need to drink water?" Shri Nathji asked again.
"Thirst forces us to drink!" said the lawyer.
"The sorrows of the world force us to seek God!" Shri Nathji added.
The lawyer thought for a moment. He was very successful, young, in good health and a good family, he needed nothing in life. He did not know the meaning of the word "sorrow".
And so he said: "Your Holiness! You have said that thirst forces us to drink water! But I am not thirsty at present. When thirst comes to me I shall go and dig a well!!"
HH Shri Bhola Nathji said: "It surprises me that being such a senior advocate you are giving such a wrong argument!"
"What is wrong about the argument? " asked the lawyer.
And HH Shri Bhola Nathji said:"You say you will dig a well when you are thirsty -- but tell me, can a thirsty man have the strength to dig a well? Kyaa pyaasaa bhee kuaan khod saktaa hai?"
The lawyer was taken aback and even shocked into a sudden realisation.
"You are right!" he said, "a thirsty man will not have the strength to dig a well!! What must one do then?"
Shri Bhola Nathji concluded:
"Go and dig a well when you are not thirsty! Then drink from it whenever thirst comes to you!!
"The time to run towards God is not when you are in trouble.. you may not have the strength.. the time to establish a relationship with Him is when you are without sorrows, and living in happiness!"
