HH SHRI NATHJI'S LOVE FOR THE JAPANESE

In 1967 my father HH Shri Nathji and brother and I traveled all the way from Rome to New Delhi on Japan Airlines. The flight was to continue all the way to Tokyo and almost all of it was full of Japanese passengers on their way to Japan. The flight was stopping en route at New Delhi.

As my father brother and I got out of our seats and began walking down the aisle between the rows of seats, my father with his usual politeness, said in a voice full of love, "Goodbye!" to the passengers sitting in the plane.

And the next few moments saw all the Japanese passengers getting up in their seats to shake hands with Shri Nathji and saying:

"Thank you! Thank you! Goodbye!"

until the time we had gone down the aisle and reached the last seats at the exit door, when Shri Nathji stood for a moment at the door before exiting and raised his hands to bless them all.

It was as if their dearest loved one was parting from them. And they did not even know who he was.

Such was the power of Shri Nathjii's love for mankind, which saw no barriers of race, religion or nationality.
