When you pray to God, you are happy when your prayers are heard, and this strengthens your Faith in God.
But when He does not listen to your prayers you appear to lose Faith in Him. Of what use a God who does not listen? you tell yourself.
Therefore in prayers there is always a doubt about the existence of God when He does not listen to your prayers. In fact prayers are made by man for his own self interests, and if these clash with what God has for you as your destiny, then He over-rules your prayers and presses His own Will - for your own betterment.
This clash of wills between your will and the Will of God results in a weakness of your faith and you even doubting the existence of God.
BUT WHEN YOU THANK HIM FOR WHATEVER HE HAS GIVEN YOU THERE ARE NO DOUBTS ABOUT HIS EXISTENCE. BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY THANK SOMEONE IN WHOM YOU BELIEVE FIRMLY.
Thus while prayers contain doubts about His existence, Gratitude and thanksgiving contain no doubts about His Existence.
And the more you thank Him for whatever He has given you, the more He will answer your prayers, unasked. He knows beforehand what you need and He fulfils your needs Himself even without your praying to Him!
This is the Secret of pleasing God and making God answer your prayers -- just go on thanking Him for whatever He has given you, with a genuine heart. And then wait and see what He will bring!
