HERE IS A VERY PRECIOUS MEMORY OF MY PARENTS, FATHER HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI (1902-1992) AND MOTHER, SMT. SAVITRI DEVI, IN MUSSOORIE IN 1953.
THE PORTRAIT WAS TAKEN BY THE FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER OF MUSSOORIE, DOON STUDIOS, IN WHOSE SHOWCASE IT LAY FOR MANY YEARS AS A LARGE LIGHTED GLASS SLIDE.
IN LATER YEARS IT WAS TAKEN FROM THERE AND BROUGHT TO OUR HOME.

MEMORIES- MY MOTHER AND MY FATHER 1953
Here is a memorable portrait of my parents. My Father HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) and my mother Smt. Savitri Devi ( 1916-1967).

This portrait was taken in the Himalayas of Mussoorie in 1953 by the famous Doon Studios, and adorned its showcase window for many years. It almost became one of the beautiful sights of the city, and passers by and tourists carried its love and peace within their hearts.
What wonderful things photographs are, and how we take them for granted!
They bring back that moment of time, that year, that day, that hour, that minute, that second of time in which our loved ones were sitting before the camera.
In fact portraits take you back in time into the past as no human memory could do. And they bring back to you the feelings of love which emanated from those personalities at that time, and which become eternal.
Ultimately, I purchased the portrait from Doon Studios and brought it home, in the home where my parents had lived.
