The day was January 22, and the year 1984.
HH Shri Bhola Nathji was giving a stunning sermon on God- Realisation to the audience present at FICCI Hall in New Delhi.
The sermon was in the Hindi language.
Amongst the audience was His Excellency the High Commissioner of Zambia, Mr. A. M. Phiri, who had read about the sermon in the newspapers and come to listen.
However he had assumed the sermon would be in the English Language. But it was in Hindi, a language he did not understand.
The sermon lasted for about two hours and at the end of that time Mr. Phiri requested that he be allowed to say a few words.
And this is how he began his talk:
"Today I feel like King David in the presence of God. I did not understand the language of Hindi that was being used by His Holiness, but in some miraculous manner I understood each and every word of the sermon, as if it was a voice speaking within my heart.
"Two hours passed, but time had appeared to stand still, as if not a second had passed!
"I have to state that when I was in Zambia several months back,I had had a vision of this meeting here today. I had never met His Holiness and knew nothing about him. But, I saw His Holiness onstage in the same dress he is wearing today-- and I had wondered why I had seen the vision. Today I know! He was calling me!"
He ended his talk with the hymn "Nearer to Thee, my Lord, nearer to Thee!"
The entire assembly was astonished at this amazing spectacle.
