There is such a feeling known as FAITH in the heart of man, just like
the feelings he has of love, compassion, mercy, generosity,
righteousness, humility, and, conversely, pride, hatred, jealousy,
anger, greed, etc.
What is FAITH? It is the wire that connects the bulb of your heart to God, bringing the light of God within.
Man cannot live without Faith. You have faith when you go to sleep in the night that you will be still alive when you wake up. You have faith that what your eyes are seeing is correct, you have blind faith that when you step out of the house you will be returning home in the evening and your family will also still be at home.
There are so many things that you have Faith in, Faith, which can be called Blind Faith, which comes with you from birth and is enhanced by your daily experiences.
Faith in God, absolute and complete faith, just like you have faith in your own existence, can work miracles. We call them miracles, but actually they are a natural outcome of Faith.
Meera the great devotee, had such great Faith in Lord Krishna that she drank a cup of poison and nothing happened to her. Prahlad the great devotee had such great Faith in God that even though he was made to embrace a pillar of fire nothing happened to him. Hanumanji had such great Faith in Lord Rama that he crossed the ocean by just saying "Jai Shri Ram!" -"All Glory unto Rama!" Jesus Christ raised a man from the dead through his Faith. Similar instances are seen in all faiths of the world.
But this Faith in God must be absolute and complete, unshakeable and very, very real. If there be even the slightest doubt in one's Faith, it will not work miracles for you.
There was a Holy Man who jumped off a cliff to prove the existence of God to an atheist. Before jumping he said:
"If my God is true, nothing will happen to me!"
He landed hundreds of feet below safe and sound. But his toe was bleeding. And he said to himself:
"This is the punishment I get for using the word IF. There is no IF in Faith. I should have said: 'My God is True and nothing will happen to me!'"
Therefore if you can make your faith unshakeable and very real, it will start working miracles for you. Otherwise do not blame God but rather the infirmity of your own Faith.
