ONE BREATH IS ALL YOU HAVE

ONE BREATH IS ALL YOU HAVE
============================
From the Thoughts of HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) A Great Spiritual Luminary who gave peace and beatitude to countless folk and who called himself in all humility:
The Servant of The Earth
He made complex spiritual truths simple and easy for everyone to understand and to enlighten humanity. His words continue to help and guide mankind as does his Spiritual Presence amongst us.
==============================================

HH Shri Bhola Nathji once surprised a group of intellectuals by telling them that "one breath is all you have!"
He then explained the meaning of the Hindi word "Aadami"-- meaning, "man" or a human being, to them.
"Aa" means "One."
"Dami" means "He who takes a breath"
So the word, human, "Aadami" means "He who takes one breath!"
"But, Your Holiness, we take many breaths! how can you say that we take only one breath?" said his listeners.
HH Shri Bhola Nathji said: "You take only one breath at a time. Try taking two breaths together! Can you do it? No."
So the life of man hinges on that one breath that he takes. No one can be sure whether the next breath will come or not. People die suddenly in diseases, or accidents, or even in their sleep.
So why not use as many of these breaths as you can, to remember God and to obey His orders upon the earth, before that last moment comes, after which the next breath does not come at all..
A true lover of God had this to say:
"I had wished that I never forget Thee for even a single breath,
But Alas! My forgetting Thee each and every breath,
Is now my sorrow, of each and every breath!"
"Khaaham ke na gardam za to ghaafil yak dam,
Afsos azeen ghaflate har dam, har dam"
