TO FORGET GOD IS TO INVITE THE SORROWS OF THE WORLD

TO FORGET GOD IS TO INVITE THE SORROWS OF THE WORLD
=================================================
From the Thoughts of H.H. Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) A Great Spiritual Luminary of his time who gave peace and beatitude to countless folk during his lifetime, and whose thoughts and words still continue to guide us.
==================================================

A temporary attraction may become the cause of a long-lasting sorrow.
The things and people of the world may become alluring and tempt you towards themselves, and in the end ensnare you in a vicious circle of pain and sorrow from which it is difficult to escape.
When you are content with what you possess, and have love and peace in the heart, you are with God.
God is like the flower that captivates your heart.
But there is a dreadful thorn sitting alongside the Flower.
However, when do you see the thorn?
When your eyes slip from the flower.
So what is the thorn?
The thorn is nothing but the slipping of your sight from the flower!
For as long as your heart is engrossed in God, there is no sorrow.
But as soon as your sight slips from God and falls on the temptations of the world, it sees a multitude of sorrows,-- the dreadful thorn of sorrow comes before it.
As HH Shri Bhola Nathji would say in Hindi:
"Kaantaa kyaa hai?
"Phool se nazaron ka phisal jaanaa!"
"What is the thorn?
"It is the sight slipping from the flower!"
