FROM THE THOUGHTS OF HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI, A GREAT SPIRITUAL LUMINARY WHO CALLED HIMSELF THE SERVANT OF THE EARTH.
=============================================
The picture of the world is one of a great and massive tragedy in which we are living.
There is one thing that we have forgotten -- and that is the rapidly flowing stream of time.
As Omar Khayyam the Persian poet wrote:
"Time flies, one thing is certain,
And the rest is lies,
The flower that once didst bloom
forever dies"
Ages and centuries have rolled by. History is the name of all those who came into the world and went away. So if the millions and billions who came before us went away, there is no chance that we are going to live on this planet earth forever.
In fact the picture of the world is that of separation. Everyone separates from everyone else. As time passes by, you stand helplessly and watch your loved ones leave the world one by one.
In the words of HH Shri Bhola Nathji:
"Aayen hain iss jahaan men kab jaayen be-khabar hain,
Do din hai hai basera ye aashiyaan hamaaraa"
"We have come into this world and know not when we have to leave,
It is a but duration of two days, this home of ours here."
The past has gone, you cannot bring it back, the future has not come, you cannot force it to come before its time. Where do we exist? In the present.
But the moment you say: "This is the present!" it becomes the past. In fact we exist in that moment of time which does not even exist.
We can watch the albums of the past that we have kept with us, photos of ourselves as babes, as children, as young folk, middle aged folk, then aged folk , and finally faced with the inevitably of death, if we live long enough.
There are many accidents and illnesses that curtail our stay on this planet and we have to leave by force, suddenly at any age..
How strange that we have no answers to these questions:
Q: WHY DID YOU COME INTO THIS WORLD?
A: I DON'T KNOW.
Q: FOR HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO STAY HERE?
A: I DON'T KNOW.
Q: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE THE EARTH?
A: I DON'T KNOW.
Q: WHERE WILL YOU GO AFTER LEAVING THIS WORLD?
A: I DON'T KNOW.
SO WHAT CAN CAN YOU DO IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS?
ESTABLISH A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CREATOR OF THIS WORLD BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. IN FACT IT IS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU SHOULD DO, AND YOU WILL GET ALL THE ANSWERS YOU WANT.
AND YOU WILL ALSO KNOW THAT THE AIM OF THIS LIFE IS TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN, FOR EVERYONE, TO HELP OTHERS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
TO LIVE AS GOD WOULD WANT YOU TO LIVE, SO THAT WHEN YOU LEAVE YOU WILL GO TO HIM AS THE FINAL DESTINATION OF LIFE.
LIVE PEACEFULLY,
LEAVE PEACEFULLY,
LIVE FOREVER PEACEFULLY
AND NEVER COME BACK.
