It comes as a great shock to you when a friend you trusted and loved suddenly betrays you. But remember this world is a face of changeability. Everything and everyone in it changes with time, not only in physical form but also in the mind.

It comes as a great shock to you when a friend you trusted and loved suddenly betrays you. But remember this world is a face of changeability. Everything and everyone in it changes with time, not only in physical form but also in the mind.
The famous poet, Tulsidas, in India, wrote that there was little difference between a friend and a foe:
" A foe breaks your heart when he meets you,
And a friend breaks your heart when he leaves you!"
Also look at this strange instance of friendship, as written by an Urdu poet:
"What a strange instance of friendship is this,
This world is perishable and man is giving up his life for it!"
Your youth betrays you when it changes into old age, your health betrays you when you fall ill. There is nothing that is permanent in this world.
But the very fact that there is so much that is changeable proves that there must be something or Someone who is not changeable, who is not affected by time, who remains the same no matter how many things change over the years, centuries, and ages.
What we need in life is a friend who does not change, who does not betray us, who is there always when we need him, who is all- powerful, and who does not leave our side even for a moment, even when we have forgotten him---
Just like the invisible air, which remains around us all the time keeping us alive every moment, and which does not even make its presence felt.
Can there be such a friend? Would anyone agree to be with you every moment of your life? Would a powerful King agree to safeguard you each and every moment of your life?
The more powerful the friend, the less likely he is to be with you all the time.
But yes, there is one such friend who is always there, around you like the air. You have forgotten Him but He has not. He is with you always, but you are not always with him. And He is a friend who never betrays you, and is with you till eternity.
And that Eternal Friend is God.
"Forget Him not for a single breath,
He, who is Thy companion in this journey of Life!"
"Ik dam bhee dil se door na hone de too usse
Jo iss jahaan men teraa sahaaraa safar men hai"
