There is a very profound and deep philosophy which is very difficult to understand, but which is the highest philosophy that one can possibly think of in this world.

It is simple and yet very very difficult to understand and accept by the common man, who must live on in ignorance until he is enlightened.

In this philosophy God is the only Reality and this world around us is just an illusion or Maayaa.

In fact the Maayaa appears so real that no one can understand it as Maayaa. But even the Maayaa is a creation of God.

There was a philosopher who preached this theory with great aplomb and gusto, telling his disciples to try and really SEE everything as Maayaa, an illusion, which is not real.

One day he saw an elephant come rushing towards him, and in an instinctive state of natural panic he ran for his life.

His disciples called out: "Master! Gajo Maayaa! The elephant is an illusion! It is unreal! So why are you running away?"

And the Philosopher shouted back:

"If Gajo is Maayaa, then bhago is also Maayaa!"

"If the elephant after me is an illusion, then so is my running away an illusion!"
