Faith is one of the Greatest of gifts of God. It is God Himself inside your heart.

Think of God like the Sun up in the sky. The Rays of the Sun are shining down upon your house.

If the windows of your house are clean and pure, the Rays of the Sun will come inside in its purest Form.

In a like manner if your heart is pure then God shall enter your heart like the rays of light of the Sun, which bring the Sun into your home.

Faith is like those rays of light which come from the Sun and bring the Sun into your home.

If the window panes or glasses are coloured or dirty, the rays of light will not be able to get inside your home in their pure form and will take on the colour of your window panes or glasses.

Similarly if your heart is not pure and is coloured with the thoughts of the world, greed, desires and selfishness, then the Grace of God will not enter into it in its pure form and you will not gain Absolute Faith in God.

Faith in God, is God entering your heart. It is His Gift. He may choose to give it or not, depending on whether you are deserving or not.

Faith gives you strength to face calamities in life, to be fearless, not to be affected by sorrows and miseries of life, to accept everything as the Will of God and be content with the feeling that God is your friend and does not wish to harm you -- He is there only to help you through the sorrows of this life and then to take you into his own Kingdom of God when your sojourn on the earth is over.
