THIS THY PICTURE IS THE SOLACE OF MY LIFE,

THIS THY PICTURE IS THE SOLACE OF MY LIFE,
ON ITS GRACE DOTH REST THE FOUNDATION OF MY LIFE
EVEN A BRIEF GLIMPSE OF HIS PHOTOS IS ENOUGH TO SAILTHROUGH THE SORROWS OF THE WORLD.
HH Shri Bhola Nathji used to say:
"I AM THE SERVANT OF THE EARTH EVER SINCE CREATION, AND I SHALL REMAIN ITS SERVANT TILL THE WORLD LASTS, AND EVEN AFTER IT HAS ENDED."
Picture of my Father HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) who was a Great Spiritual Luminary of his time and who relieved countless souls of their misery and brought before them God as Love and Peace.
As He watches from the heavens, we pray to him to relieve the sufferings of the world and save the people of the world who are all like His Children

WHY SWINE FLU IS SPREADING IN INDIA

Over 11,000 people have got the swine flu in India thus far and about 700 have died from it as of February 20, 2015.
I had already written a post earlier in which I had stated "Where have we failed?" and in that post I had spoken about the materialistic aspirations of the parents who failed to teach moral and ethical values to their children and made materialists out of them, leading to the present situation in our society, of violence, intolerance, selfishness, greed for money, mercilessness, corruption, and rape and molestation.
Now, on a more mundane note, I wish to point out another failing related to health.
Hardly any parents tell their children to not to cough into the faces of others.
In fact the parents do so themselves.
Coughing into someone's face is quite common in most households and in the public as well -- since no one ever told them that they could kill a person by coughing on his face.
When you cough, millions of germs go out of your mouth faster than the speed of modern jet planes. These germs may be of bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis and now, swine flu.
If you hit a man on his head with a stone you will injure him and the injury will last for a few days. But if you cough into the face of a man you may even kill him, cause him to die a slow death even as he contracts your cough and his immune system may not be able to cope with it.
No one bothers to take out a handkerchief from his pocket and cough into the handkerchief.
At most they will roll their hand into a fist and then cough into it -- and later shake hands with other people with the same hand they contaminated with their own cough germs.
It is also a common thing for people to take offence if you ask them to sit at a distance from you when they are coughing. They will also take offence if you move away from them, or cover your own mouth with a cloth whenever they cough.
Also when someone with a cough or cold visits you and fills you and your house with his germs, you don't feel anything for about three to four days-- and think that nothing has happened. But you are wrong. The germs he implanted into you take time to grow inside your body -- time known as the "incubation period" which may even be a week or so. After which you are on a downhill course.
It is very common for friends and relatives to visit their friends and relatives and cough right into their homes and into their faces, and thus give them all some dreadful infection.
There was a bachelor living peacefully in the hills in his home. A friend with a cough and cold visited him and spent some time with him. And of course the friend coughed and sneezed into his friend's face. Later after the friend had gone, the bachelor who lived alone, developed a terrible lung disease and died from it because medical aid was not available in the hills. "Thanks for the visit, Dear Friend" may have been written on his tombstone.
MORAL: IF YOU HAVE A COUGH OR COLD, PLEASE DO NOT COUGH INTO ANOTHER PERSON'S FACE.

A WONDERFUL REPLY BY PAUL WASSERMAN

A WONDERFUL REPLY BY PAUL WASSERMAN
TO MY POST BELOW. I WISH ALL PARENTS IN THE
WORLD WOULD LEARN FROM HIS PARENTS
AS HE NARRATES BELOW:
" I grew up with parents who were atheists. They saw the hypocrisy in most organized religion but they taught me to treat all people with respect, especially women and my elders. They taught me that all life is valuable. They taught me to treat everyone with dignity, to stand up for my principles, to stand up for others who had no voice, who were oppressed, or in pain. They taught me that there was dignity and meaning in all honest work, no matter how "lowly" it might seem, that the measure of others was not their station in life, their wealth or their fame, but was in how they treated others. They taught me to try my best to leave the world a better place than I found it. I have tried to live up to these ideals.
I ALSO POST BELOW THE REPLY OF CAROLINE MOORE WHICH IS ALSO AN EYE OPENER TO THE PARENTS:
" My prayer for my children are that God's Light will shine brightly through them and that they will use their gifts to help others."
COMPARE THIS WITH THE MATERIALISTIC ATTITUDE OF THE PARENTS HERE WHO WISH TO PUSH THEIR CHILDREN INTO MORE AND MORE MATERIALISM -- AND DO NOT EVEN REMOTELY SUGGEST THESE VALUES THAT PAUL'S PARENTS AND CAROLINE'S HAVE HAD INCULCATED INTO THEM..

WHERE DID EVERYONE FAIL?

Today, all around us we see increasing intolerance and violence. Senseless road rage, incidents of stabbing and shooting, excessive drinking, smoking and drugs. Murder, homicide, burglaries, and worst of all rapes and crimes against women are all on the increase. Side by side, religion which was meant to unite mankind has found followers who are creating walls between themselves.
It is time to ask : where did everyone fail?
Did the parents fail in bringing up their children?
Or did the children fail to live up to the expectations of the parents.
What do the Parents Teach?
They teach their children to study hard and get good marks in schools so that they can get into good colleges and get high degrees and then high paying jobs, so that they can get married and produce grandchildren for the parents, so that they can buy expensive cars and flats and the luxuries if life.
As for religion the parents take their children to the place of worship to which they subscribe, and ask their children to pray to God whenever they are in any kind of need.
Sadly, the parents do not have time to call the children to themselves and hold long sessions with them to tell them:
That money and success are not everything in life, and that there are higher values -- like goodness, righteousness, politeness, kindness, unselfishness and love, and forgiveness and things like sins and repentance. They do not tell them that violence and anger and hatred are wrong, they do not tell them about forgiveness being a great virtue in life. They do not tell them they they must pray for the sake of others also and not only for their own sake.
They do not tell them "let everyone follow his own faith and do you follow yours. All have One Father God and all are his children, so that all of mankind are brothers." They do not tell them that all faiths have goodness in them and none of them preaches hatred and wars.
So the children grow up being materialistic and ambitious trying to get ahead of each other, with jealousies and revenge being prime feelings. Their ambitions lead them to work several hours in the day and night so that they become short-tempered and make lives miserable for their own wives and families, so that families break up and there are divorces and even suicides.
I know from personal experience as a spiritual counselor that most people who come to me desire things of the world. They want to be blessed so that they can pass their exams, get into good colleges, get good grades and good jobs and good businesses, and get married into rich families,-- and their parents back up their cause with all their hearts.
I recall just ONE mother who brought her young son before me and said to me:
"Sir, please bless him so that he may become a good person in life. That is all I ask!"
So the fact that our society appears to be breaking up leaves a lot of questions to be asked of the parents, who goad their children to greater and greater material values in life, as if that is the very goal of human life.
Despite the fact that everyday we see people die before us, yet everyone thinks he is going to live forever and take all his wealth and property and success and degrees with him when he leaves the world.
What has happened is that the finer real spiritual values of life have been deadened and the gross animal instincts and material values have taken the lead -- and the results are before us.
Sadly the Holy Men of our time are more busy beating their own drums and desiring greater name, fame and wealth in life. They are hardly the examples that people would wish to follow, and despite their sermons, the rot is on the increase.

WHY HE SETTLED ABROAD

WHY HE SETTLED ABROAD
( SPOOF - EDITED) SO PLEASE READ A SECOND TIME!
1. When he was in India he could not bear to see the poverty and the slums, and the sight was so shocking that he wished to forget it-- so he went to live abroad.
2.There he got a high paying job at Silicon Valley, and the dollars were so wonderful they made him forget the paltry rupees he used to get in India.
4. Also the richer he became, the more he was led to think of the poverty at home, the more he sympathized with them.
5. Whenever he ate fatty, sumptuous foods it made him forget the starving masses who had not a morsel to eat. But he had to do this in order to forget the feeling of starvation they must have been feeling.
7. He got a large comfortable house to live in, so that he could forget the slums he had seen at home. The little huts were SO heart-rending. He had to forget them. And feel their misery. He felt it all the more in his luxurious home.
8. When the cold weather came he got the best of heating systems so that he could forget the poor who slept and died of the cold on the roads in the hundreds at home.. It was the least he could do to forget their plight.
9. And when came the summer he got the best air conditioners and cooling systems so that he could forget the hundreds who died on the roads at home from heat stroke because they had no roof over their heads. It was so sad. His cooling system made him empathize with those who got heat stroke at home.
10 Then he visited India with the idea of doing some good. And he did. He got a large farm house with a swing so that he could swing on the swing and think of the poor around him, so that he could throw parties and try to forget the misery around him. He also got a swimming pool to make him forget this misery of the poor all the more.
11. Another reason for his coming to India was, that despite his American accent, he had discovered with a shock that American women preferred American men and no one would marry him, maybe because he was ugly as well. So he chose some poor unsuspecting beautiful Indian girl his parents had found for him in India, and impressed the girl's family with his dollars in America and got married in the typical Indian style, riding in the bridegroom's procession with a huge turban on his head.
12.Finally he thought of how to help the poor-- but sadly it was time to go back and enjoy his honeymoon. His flight was waiting for him. And he returned to the land of sugar and honey at Silicon Valley, with his heart heavier than before, bleeding for the poor of India..
12. Who says those who immigrate abroad dont have a heart?

INDIANS ABROAD

Nowadays it has become a passion for most young Indians -- and also their elderly parents - to "settle" abroad, as if India is not enough for them and they need special facilities abroad. They are happy there for a while and even take pride in saying they are "living abroad" and consider themselves superior to the ordinary Indians living in India.
Until a jolt jars their lives. They discover that they are not eternal and immortal and will not live "forever" even abroad. In fact when they die they will be buried or cremated in foreign lands and their ashes brought back to India to be immersed in the Ganges.
The jolt can also come in other ways. They may think they have become "anglicized" and adapt fancy foreign accents-- but to the foreigners in whose country they are living, they will always be foreigners, no matter how much they try to amalgamate themselves into the foreign society.
A recent incident in the US has jolted the Indian Community there to the fact that they are all "foreigners" in a foreign land and not "Americans" as they thought they were, despite their citizenship and green cards.
Let the Indians living abroad not forget that they will always be "colored men" living in foreign countries no matter how white their complexion and no matter which whitening creams they apply.
Some well settled Indian young man may have asked his parents to come and live with him in the US, especially to serve as nanny to his children, since baby sitters are expensive to get in the US.
This elderly Indian gentleman, in keeping with his Indian habits, went for a walk strolling outside on the pavement.
Some paranoid American woman in the neighborhood called the police, and complained of a "suspicious character " loitering outside.
He was a "colored man".
And so the police cornered this innocent elderly Indian and asked him who he was and where he came from and what he was doing loitering in front of houses. The elderly gentleman knew very little English and could not answer their questions.
The next instant the policemen pounced upon him and threw him to the ground on his face, while handcuffing his hands at the back.
The Indian began to bleed. His neck was broken and he was half paralysed, and it is doubtful if he will ever regain full normalcy.
So much for a trip abroad, so much for "settling abroad". This could happen to people in any country of the world where they are looked upon suspiciously merely for being foreigners.
My advice to the young Indians is to be content with what you get in India, which is a fairly prosperous country these days. Dont run after too many dollars or you will come to grief one day. Dont make Foreign Countries your pilgrimage centre in life and dont forget your spiritual values in life, one of which is contentment.
People who are not content inside their hearts, will never be content anywhere in the world.
And please let your parents live in peace in their motherland and dont call them to yourselves abroad to act as "nannys" to your progeny there, and to live in an alien land.

ALL HAVE ONE FATHER

by HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) A great spiritual personality of our times who gave peace and beatitude to countless souls, during his lifetime, relieving them of their ills and sorrows, and who called himself, in all humility, "Ghulam Rue Zameen" i.e. The Servant of the Earth.

It was his voice:

"I have no mission except Love in this world,
My mission is Love, and my work is Love!"

"ALL HAVE ONE FATHER AND ALL ARE HIS CHILDREN,
IN THIS THOUGHT ALONE ALL RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES
CAN CEASE TO EXIST!"

HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI'S DREAM

"Even as every night must turn into day and every autumn turn into spring, so it is the voice of my heart that the time is drawing close, when One God shall exist for all, and all shall be His children, Love shall be His worship, and the world shall know a never-ending peace."
