HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL GURU?

If you are a Ph.D in Mathematics you may be able to understand another Ph.D in mathematics.
But if you are in the kindergarten you may not be able to understand whether the Ph.D teaching you is real or fake.
In order to understand an Expert in any field in the world, you must have great knowledge of the subject yourself.
Therefore before choosing a Guru for yourself you must ask yourself how competent you are at judging gurus, If you are not competent then there is every possibility you have made a mistake and you may be misled.
As it is said:
"If the blind lead the blind,
Shall they both not fall into the pit?"
Here are some guidelines for the layman:
1. If you are constantly in communication with God for everything in life-- you dont need a guru to lead you to Him.
2. You can see Real Divinity on the Face of a Genuine Saint, Genuine Divine Beauty, Divine Humility, not a trace of pride.,, like the purest, handsomest face of HH Shri Bhola Nathji.
See if you can find another Face like His anywhere in the world. There is no worldliness, only Divinity, Love Compassion and Humility.
3. In fact a genuine Guru will not tell you he is superior to you nor will he order you.. He will let your own heart follow itself.
4. Instead of performing miracles and magic tricks he will tell you to follow the Will of God and accept everything in life as His Will.
5. HH Shri Bhola Nathji used to say:
"I have not come as your Master.
I have come as your Servant.
I have not come to be worshiped.
Rather I have come to worship you.
If you see God in me it is a reflection of the purity of your own heart!"
6. Your heart will be drawn towards such a real Truth by itself. You will experience an undefinable divine love and peace just by being close to him.
7. A Genuine Saint will not desire, name, fame or followers. He is content in his solitude and only genuine seekers can find Him.
