 THE PICTURE OF LIFE

The picture of the world is somewhat like this:

There is a train that is going on and on at a great speed. People get on at various stations and get off at various stations.

When we board the train we find the compartment occupied by others before us. Others board the train after we have seated ourselves.

Some get off in our presence and we get off in the presence of some.

This is the painting of the World, and this is Life.

The journey is towards home.

Remember thy house well before thou board the train. If thou forget thy destination, then thy journey is for the sake of a journey only and has no meaning. There is a destination. It is well if thy journey be comfortable but keep in mind that thy house must be comfortable, too.

In every moment that passes by, remember this, that thou must put an end to the journey, for it is only for this that the journey was begun. Make not this train thy home, for thy home is where thou must live always.
