THE SECRET OF SUCCESS

While it is true that people are searching for spiritual truths in the world, yet what is nearest to their hearts is Success in the world, both material as well as spiritual.
Here is HH Shri Bhola Nathji's Parable on the subject:
"A King opened a bazaar which contained many an item, from the most expensive to the least innocuous, in fact the bazaar contained anything a worldly person sought in life.
And the king made an announcement:
"Let all my subjects come and place their hand on anything they like and it shall be theirs for free. The only condition is that after they have chosen any one thing, they are not allowed to choose another! So be careful before you choose! There is only one chance!"
And the subjects of his kingdom rushed to the bazaar each one selecting whatever they needed and whatever held their fancy.
There came a woman who was so filled with joy at the sight of all the things laid out in the bazaar that she just could not make up her mind what to choose and what to put her hand upon.
She would extend her hand towards an expensive saree and then stop as she saw an expensive diamond necklace, and would then extend her hand towards the necklace, and then stop again as she saw something more attractive. And looking thus at everything in the bazaar she continued walking until she had come to the last shop.

Her sight went beyond the last shop and she saw a man sitting alone, lost in deep thought, with a look of intense sadness on his face.
She said to the man: "What are you doing sitting here? Go and select something in the bazaar! Don't you know that the king has issued an order that anyone can touch any one thing in the bazaar and it will become his?"
The man replied: "I know! I am the king!"
Woman: "You are the king!! Then why are you looking so sad?"
King: "I am sad because today I have realized that the people in my kingdom love only the things I can give them, no one has a love for me!"
The woman thought for a while, and then, upon an impulse placed her hand upon the shoulder of the king!

"What are you doing?" said an alarmed king.
"I am selecting you by placing my hand upon your shoulder! According to the conditions laid down by you, now you belong to me!"
"Woman!" said an astonished king, "what will you get by selecting me? Go and take something from the bazaar!"
Woman:"But I want everything in the bazaar not just one thing!"
She continued: "To whom does the bazaar belong?"
King: "To me!"
Woman: "And to whom do you now belong?"
King: "To you!"
Woman: "Therefore the entire bazaar belongs to me, and everything there is mine!"
This is the Secret of Success. The world and everything in it belongs to God. We find that even with our best efforts we are dissatisfied with what we get in the world.
If we can but Select Him, choose Him, establish a relationship with Him, who is the Creator of everything, then indeed we have obtained real success, and the world and everything in it belongs to us and is ours for the asking!!

We discover that satisfaction and contentment enter our hearts and no matter what we get. we are happy in it and successful in all our endeavors.
"Too agar meraa bane saaraa jahaan meraa hai phir,
Too agar meraa naheen to phir koyi meraa naheen"
"If Thou become mine then the entire world is mine,
But if Thou art not mine, then nothing is mine!"

THE DAY WOMEN FAST FOR THEIR HUSBAND'S LONG LIVES

Today on the 30th of October 2015, was the day of Karva Chauth-- the Day all devout Hindu wives pray for the long life and welfare of their husbands wherever they may be in the world.
It was the Karva Chauth of 1945.
My Father, HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) a Great Spiritual Luminary of His time who gave peace and beatitude to countless souls relieving them of their ills and sorrows, and who was worshiped and held in high reverence even by Holy Men as the holiest of the holy, was in Agra during those day visiting the city to see the Taj Mahal at Agra, like any other normal tourist.
My mother, who was known as Mahamateshwari Savitri Devi, had undertaken the fast of Karvachauth for her divine husband's long life and welfare.
Their picture of 1939 at the time of their marriage is attached here.
While at Agra, Shri Nathji was standing alone in a narrow lane with his back to a wall.
Suddenly a crazed bull came charging towards him with great ferocity as if bent upon to destroy his existence upon earth.
The bull was running towards him, its head bent and its horns extended towards Shri Nathji.
The devotees and Mateshwari screamed and watched helplessly with great horror as the bull came closer and closer to Shri Nathji.
The bull appeared possessed. It was as if the powers of evil had taken possession of the body of the bull to destroy the human form which had only Love and God within Himself.
The incident would have un-nerved even the bravest of men, but Shri Nathji stood calmly and watched.
The bull had barely come within a few inches of Shri Nathji, when something happened to it.
Stopping, suddenly, the bull slid to the ground in a very docile gesture and lay silently at Shri Nathji’s feet!
It was one of Shri Nathji’s greatest miracles. He had preserved the body he had taken upon earth for the salvation of mankind. He still had a lot of work left in the world. He could not allow the forces of evil to bring his avatar upon earth to an abrupt end.
Mahamateshwari had just then undertaken the fast of Karva Chauth – a fast every devout Hindu wife undertakes for the long life, health and safety of her husband.
Shri Nathji attributed his narrow escape to Mahamateshwari’s fast for his long life and welfare.

EARTHQUAKE AGAIN IN INDIA

Today, on the 26th of October, 2015, in the afternoon, an earthquake shook our house in the Himalayas very badly, and it appeared to last for four minutes, which is a long time when we speak of earthquakes.
Later we learnt from the News on TV that the earthquake was of Richter Scale 7.5 which is well past the danger zone of 5.5. It hit all of Northern India. New Delhi was so badly shaken that people stayed out in the streets for hours, afraid of entering the very buildings in which they worked.
Every earthquake is a disaster, and being saved from every earthquake is a miracle.
My Father, HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) who was a Great Spiritual Luminary of his time used to say:
"I don't think science has been able to invent an instrument which can stop an earthquake! An earthquake belittles the greatness of man and his knowledge and wealth and his plans in life and reduces them all to a ZERO in a second.
"It reminds man once again to turn his attention off from the world for a while and turn it towards the Creator of the World, God, who alone can start and stop an earthquake in a trice!"
In the 1930's there was a time when HH Shri Nathji visited an ailing atheist, who was the Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University.
Shri Nathji wished to bless him. But apparently the man did not wish to be "blessed" by a man of God since he was an atheist and also a proud man, and he made some sarcastic comments to that effect.
In later days a terrible earthquake hit the city and a devotee of HH Shri Nathji came to him and said:
"Your Holiness! Do you know what happened to that haughty Vice Chancellor when the earthquake hit his house? He ran out of the house crying out loud:
"Good God!"
HH Shri Nathji said: "The Good God was within him all the time, but it took the rocking of an earthquake to bring him out!"

A MESSAGE ON DUSSHEHRA FROM NATH , GHULAM RUE ZAMEEN, THE SERVANT OF THE EARTH

"DUSSHEHRA - VICTORY OF GOOD OVER EVIL
Dusshehra is a Day that is celebrated all over India as being symbolic of the Victory of Good over Evil.
It was the Day when thousands of years ago, Lord Rama, revered as the Incarnation of God by Hindus all over the world, defeated the mighty Ravana, the King of Evil.
A well-known fact was that though Lord Rama was the Almighty Himself he was also the living symbol of love and kindness and humility and mercy in the world.
Before the start of the War with the Evil King Ravana, he had said:
"If Ravana repents for his sins even now, I shall not take over his kingdom, and not only that, I shall give him my own kingdom as well, and stand as the gatekeeper at his gate!"
Such was the great Merciful Heart of Lord Rama, the Invincible and Almighty. He offered a scope of Mercy to the most awful of sinners in the world if they genuinely and sincerely repented. Their tears of repentance would wash away their sins.
But thousands of years have passed ever since Ravana the King of Evil was destroyed, and yet he lives on in the hearts of men even today -- in the hearts of all those who do evil, whose thoughts and actions are filled with selfishness, hatred and war. Yes, Ravana is still alive in such hearts as the personification of the Devil or Satan himself.
The war between Lord Rama and Ravana is still raging within the heart of every person in the world. Evil and good both exist in the heart of man, and either of the tendencies may dominate the other quite unpredictably.
So the REAL celebration of Dusshehra lies not only in burning a Grass Effigy of Ravana today, but rather in burning all evil tendencies within ourselves so that only Rama may remain, the personification of goodness, peace, love, humility, and mercy.
This will be the greatest homage we can pay to Lord Rama, the Lord of the Universe."

CAN DESTINY BE CHANGED?

He has a pen in His hand. He wishes to write down the destiny of the world. He has not entrusted this work to anyone else. What, then, is the destiny that He has placed for each man on earth?
Whatever He writes, is what must come to be; and whatever He has written, He has written after much thought. The past, the present, and the future, are all open to Him.
However, if there be any man who is dissatisfied with what his fate contains, the Writer can erase what He has written for him and write afresh. This reveals His strength. It is with Him to change whatever He may want to – in the past, present, or future.
If any ordinary human can erase what he has written and write
all over again, then why isn't God at liberty to do the same?
Having written once, He is not bound to accept it as His Law. He may erase and write it all over again. He is Master of His Will.
One must not, by glancing at a few words of what He has written, be downcast, for when the whole writing is revealed one will find it far better than one hoped for.
"A black mole only enhances the beauty of a white face.
