Lord Krishna (1500
BC) is believed to be God Incarnate by the Hindus in India. Not only was he the
most loving God, the melodies of whose flute exuded Love and Peace, and
relieved mankind of its sufferings, and whose tears flowed for the sorrows of
the world, but he was also chivalrous, valiant and brave and invincible like no
human being on earth.
His love for Radhe,
his devotee, and beloved, is enshrined in all Temples of India as a Love
Divine, symbolising his respect for womankind, God as the Eternal Lover in love
with his creation.
The lifting of Mount
Goverdhan with his small finger to save an entire town from being ravaged by a
storm, was only a small aspect of his divine power with which he had healed
hundreds and raised many from the dead.
The revelation of
Lord Krishna as the Lord of the Universe is written down in an awesome
narration in the Holy Geeta of the Hindus, where Krishna revealed the entire
cosmos, all of space and time, all the beings in the world, life and death and
indeed all of existence within him, in fact he revealed that he was the
beginning and the end.
And yet he said:
"I love those
who love each other more than I love those who love me!"
He also said:
"Leaving aside
all other paths, seek thou a refuge in me!"
And:
"He who sees me
in everyone and everyone in me, is never separate from me, nor I from
him!"
He taught that it was
a man's prime duty to fight injustice- but to do so without rancor or hatred.
Such a war without malice was also a form of love for one's fellow man, to save
him from sin.
In the ultimate
analysis even the gravest sinner could be forgiven if he sough refuge in the
Lord with genuine repentance. But if he did not give up the path of sin and
continued to torment others then it was the duty of the righteous to fight for
the sake of justice and to vanquish the evil doers.
It was the Voice of
Lord Krishna:
"To save the
righteous
And to vanquish the
evil doers
I come into this
world
From Age to
Age!"
This is the time when
wickedness is spreading like wildfire and no amount of logic or reasoning can
set right the warped hearts of men in the thousands and millions.
Rapists and killers
of children are abounding not only in India but also in the world.
Maybe it is time for
Lord Krishna' golden discus, his Sudharshan Chakra of annihilation for the
wicked, to come flying like a blazing sun into the darkness of the hearts of
such evil doers and to strike terror therein, so that the evil within them may
be destroyed, or else they become too scared to perpetrate more evil in the
world.
Women were objects of
veneration and sacred to Lord Krishna.
In fact may this
Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Krishna strike such terror into the hearts of the evil
doers that they become too afraid to even step out of their homes to perpetrate
violence and to violate girls and women.
It would be quite a
change from the scenario of today where the good and innocent girls are afraid
to step out of their homes for fear of these evil rapists rampant everywhere.
