HH Shri Bhola Nathji was in Lucknow in the early 1930's where multitudes were thronging for his darshan and blessings, people from all walks of life, from the highest of intellectuals to the most ordinary,

There was a Rani of a small State near Lucknow who wore spectacles, which were a novelty during those days when people usually wore only monocles.

She was known as Chashme Vaali Mata - the lady with the spectacles.

Her life was full of misery and sorrow. She was a widow. All her five sons had died one by one. Her daughter too had died and so had her husband. Even her granddaughter was dead.

"Each and every hair on my head is numbered with an infinity of sorrow," she would say.

One day she had the good fortune of meeting Shri Nathji amidst a group of intellectuals.

A sudden transformation came over her. Her sorrow evaporated completely. She began to see in Shri Nathji all the loved ones she had lost..

From the unhappiest woman in the world she became the happiest. It was a divine bliss that had entered her soul. It was a miracle that brought new life to a heart that was dead.

For her, Shri Bhola Nathji was God Incarnate, come to redeem her soul. And he appeared to be a child before her.

She had found a son, who was so powerful that he had taken away all her sorrows. All her ministers and courtiers who had been exploiting her became afraid of her.

The day came when she had to leave Shri Bhola Nathji for some time. She went back to her State, and fell ill for the last time.

Shri Nathji rushed to her State only to find an air of mourning there. He met an old lady outside the house who told her. "Chashme Vaali Mata has passed away. She left this message.

'When Shri Nathji comes, tell him I am leaving the world after attaining salvation. Main mukt hokar jaa rahi hoon!'

The Verse echoed in Shri Nathjj's mind:

"The world will not allow Thee to come, I know.

But if thou will not come to my funeral,

At least Thou will come to my Grave."

This was the impact of Divine Love of HH Shri Bhola Nathji on all those who were blessed by him.

For Shri Bhola Nathji, Chashme Vaali Mata would always remain as his mother.
