SHRI BABAJI'S PRAYER FOR MERCY TO THE LORD

My Grandfather, HH Shri Babaji Bhagwan,(1867-1940) who was a great prophet of his times had envisioned and predicted the horrors and injustices and wars to come in the world.

He had even predicted that there would come a time when for miles there would be not a single person in sight or any light but just barren earth, and darkness.

He had at the time written a Prayer to God to have Mercy on those in sorrow and in helplessness. He had written the prayer in 1904 in Persian which I have translated into English below:

Original Persian:

"Hazarte shud meherbaan,
Ai dil too hargiz gham na khur,
Fazle shud baare digar
Air dil too hargiz gham na khur

Aasiyaan raa faazli too
Aaajizaan raa mushfaqi,
Raihman kun bar aajizaan
Ai Dil too hargiz gham na khur"

English translation:

"O LORD, BE MERCIFUL NOW,
O HEART BE NOT SORROWFUL,
HIS GRACE SHALL COME AGAIN
LIKE FALLING RAIN,--
O HEART BE NOT FULL OF SORROW.

"THOU ART THE SHELTER OF THE HELPLESS,
THOU THE GIVER OF PROTECTION,
HAVE MERCY ON THE SORROWFUL IN THE WORLD,--
O HEART, BE NOT FULL OF SORROW!"
