HH SHRI NATHJI ATTACKED BY A BULL 1947

The Day of Karvachauth in India
It was the day of Karvachauth in India. The Day when all devout Hindu wives pray for the welfare, safety and long life of their husbands. Not only do they pray but they also fast for the whole day and take a glass of water only at night when the full moon comes out.
My Mother, Mahamateshwari Savitri Devi, was observing the Fast of Karvachauth,on that day, like all other Hindu wives, for the safety and well being and long life of her husband, HH Shri Bhola Nathji.
HH Shri Bhola Nathji happened to be in Agra on that occasion.
(Here he is seen standing in front of the Taj Mahal.)
While on a morning walk, HH Shri Nathji suddenly found himself in a lonely, narrow street that came to a dead end with a brick Wall constructed there. He turned around to go back, when he saw a sight that would have unnerved the bravest of men.
There was a crazed bull with its horns extended and down, charging with great speed, in his direction, while he stood with his back to the wall.
But HH Shri Nathji was not unnerved, in fact he was not even afraid. The feeling of fear simply did not exist for him.
He stood his ground and waited patiently for the bull to come to him.
The bull came close to him, almost within inches, and then all of a sudden something happened to the bull. It slid down docilely on the ground at the feet of HH Shri Nathji and sat there, as if asleep.
HH Shri Nathji blessed the bull and walked away and came back home.
Although people who knew him regarded this as another instance of his godliness and divine power, HH Shri Nathji, who never took any credit for anything, simply observed:
"I was saved today because of the Fast of Karvachauth which Mahamateshwari was observing for my welfare and long life!"
(The pictures I have shown here are intended to illustrate the situation and are not of the actual incident as no camera was available at that time, and no cameraman present.)
