WHERE CAN REAL HAPPINESS BE FOUND?

Why should I narrate the pain in my heart? There is very little time and the story is very long. On seeing the perishable world my heart is moving away from it. I do not want that miraculous ring of Sulemaan the King, because it too must come to an end. I see nothing but a farce and a deception in the prosperity of the world. Therefore the desire to attain a high status in life has gone from my heart.
This ocean of existence which lends reality to man is nothing but a mirage. And the fountain of life does not contain that water which I search.
The temptations of the world have been left behind because they are empty of the Thing that I desire.
An ant will run after a piece of chalk for as long as it thinks that it is a lump of sugar, but after it has touched it even once it does not remain close to it for even a moment, because the sugar which it sought is not to be found in the chalk.
Man loses his interest in the temptations of the world when he discovers that they do not contain That Thing which he desires.
He does not desire the worldly objects because he knows they are perishable and fleeting. He looks upon them as a reflection in water, knowing they are not really there. He looks upon them like a bubble which appears on water and vanishes in a moment.
They are like the drop of dew that dries up even before it has had a chance to settle down on the petal of a flower. They are like that dream which ends no sooner than it begins. No place remains in man’s heart for these objects of the world.
Those who have seen the Divine Beauty of their beautiful Lord can see no beauty in the things of the world, because their beauty is ephemeral, changeable and disappears with time. They cannot give their hearts to the things of the world any longer, and there is no desire left in their hearts for the temptati
ons of the world.
"Meri aankhon ne hai dekhaa jalva-haa ka rang hai
Phir kissee noore nazar ki jaan fizaayi kyaa rahi"
Mine eyes have seen the Glory of Light Divine,
The Beauty of the world can have no attraction for me now.
