MY PRESENT TO ALL SISTERS TODAY ON RAKHSHA BANDHAN

MY PRESENT TO ALL SISTERS
TODAY ON RAKHSHA BANDHAN
Today is a Day in India, known as "Raksha Bandhan" when all sisters tie little decorated strings with tinsels on them on the wrists of their brothers, and apply a small patch of red vermillion on their foreheads...as a token of the protection that they expect from them.
And the brothers in return give a small gift to the sisters, to keep their promise of protecting them.
Here is a picture of myself with the gift in my hand which I hereby "give" as an offer of protection through my prayers and good wishes and blessings from up here in the hills, to all the girls and ladies in the world.
The gift is a cute little pink box which actually contains Rs.20 as a token offer of "protection".
It is a day when Rakhis poured in for my Father, HH Shri Bhola Nathji, (1902-1992) who was offering protection to all.. this was a day when even men applied Rakhi before his photos seeking protection from all ills and evil folk in the world..
There is an oblation to God which says in Sanskrit:
"Twamev Mata cha Pita twamev
Twamev Bandhu cha Sakhaa twamev
Thou art our Mother as well as our Father,

Thou art our Brother as well as our Friend"
So ultimately when everyone else fails there is God alone who is the protector here in this world and the world to come.
