DON'T BE MOVED BY PRAISE OR CRITICISM

Once in the1940's HH Shri Bhola Nathji was in the area then known as Central Provinces in India. He was given a warm welcome by the Governor there, who said to him:
"Your Holiness, we have heard your name a lot!"
And Shri Bhola Nathji said:
"You must have heard my name either from those who like me or those who don't. Don't believe any of them.
Friends will exaggerate, and detractors will also exaggerate.
Let your own experience tell you who I am!"
Shri Nathji then mentioned the Central Provinces, also known as "C. P." at the time. The word "C.P" is written in Hindi as "Seepee", which means the mother of pearl, the shell which produces a pearl.
And Shri Nathji added: "I have not come to see the 'seepee' in your C.P. -- but I have come to see whether it has produced that Divine Pearl in it!"
Then Shri Bhola Nathji gave a short speech which held his listeners spellbound. At the end of the speech the Governor got up and said:
"Your Holiness, we had heard you were a wonderful speaker, but today we have discovered that you are something beyond that-- you are a Being who belongs to the heart!"
