TO LEAVE THE WORLD
As I see more and more people around me leaving the world one after another, a very strange thought comes to me. All of a sudden all my friends and neighbors and acquaintances appear to be awaiting their turn to leave. I see the thronging milling crowds walking everywhere as travelers about to leave the world one day. Every one of them. Strange I had never looked upo
As I see more and more people around me leaving the world one after another, a very strange thought comes to me. All of a sudden all my friends and neighbors and acquaintances appear to be awaiting their turn to leave. There are 7 billion people in the world and all of them are marked to go one day. It is only a matter of time. In the vast infinite stretch of time where millions and billions of years are taken into reckoning - one hundred years in the lifespan of a person is hardly anything. In about a century almost all amongst the 7 billion on this earth shall be gone.
This world is just a flux of billions going away and billions coming.
One wonders what all these struggles and conflicts and rat-race for materialism are all about--when all have to go one day leaving everything behind..
And yet there is that strange clinging to life - as if everyone else will go away but we will continue to be here forever! All our thoughts and actions are with this belief in mind.
As my Father HH Shri Nathjii used to say
"We have come into this world only to go away! We forget this fact and think of the world as our home!"
"But one of the greatest wonders of this world is the fact that people leave the world every day before us and yet none of us REALLY believes we are going to go as well."
