WORDS OF CAUTION FROM A GREAT SAGE

Thoughts of HH Shri Babaji Maharaj (1867-1940), the father of HH Shri Nathji, and my Grandfather.
Shri Babaji was a millionaire who gave away all his wealth to the poor and took to the spiritual path. Multitudes began to throng to him to find peace and beatitude and a release from their sorrows and sufferings. He loved everybody and everybody loved him. He was regarded as a great sage and prophet of his times by those who came into touch with him.
He left behind many words of spiritual solace for humanity but also gave them worldly caution on what they must avoid.
=========================================================

He whose mind is not at rest,
He who cannot control his self,
Can never realise God
Though full of learning of the world.
"He who has not given up the ways of vice,
"Caution: Play with wild beasts and animals, and even snakes and scorpions if you must. If at all, they will hurt only your body.
"But stay away from those unrighteous, evil folk, whose sting will be so deadly that it will go to your very soul and will ruin your whole life and also your after-life to come.
"As it is written by the famed Sage of India, Tulsidas:
"Jaake hridaya naheen Ram Videhi,
Taake tajya koti vairi sam
Yadyapi param sanehee..:
"He who has no love for Thy God in his heart,
Forsake him like you would forsake a foe,
Even though he be your closest friend."
