MYSTICAL SAYINGS OF HH SHRI BHOLA NATHJI (PART TWO)

January 29
From the memoirs of HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) The Founder of the World Prayer Day.

Whenever HH Shri Bhola Nathji took upon his gentle body the sufferings of others, his face would light up with an unearthly Glory. At such moments the inner Divinity of His Soul and His Oneness with God were revealed more strongly than ever before.

There was a time in December 1987 when he was very very ill and could hardly breathe from the suffocation caused by the water accumulation in his lungs from Heart Failure, brought about by wrong medication being given by the doctor - about which HH Shri Nathji had been too polite and loving to complain to the doctor.

Even during this period of acute physical illness he was writing Urdu Verses, Ghazals, and even singing them with a Divine Bliss which was inexplicable in the face of such physical suffering.

He was taken to Batra Hospital. I and a staunch devotee of HH Shri Nathji, Mr. A.C. Sharma an IAS Officer were with him. AS he was wheeled away on a wheel chair to the Echocardiography Department, he profusely thanked the attendant pushing the wheel chair, and even embraced him with Love.

As the echocardiograph was about to be taken and he lay on the table next to the machine, he suddenly said in a loud voice to Sharmaji who was standing there along with myself:

"SHARMAJI!
DONT THINK I AM THIS SICK BODY LYING ON THIS BED.
I AM THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE!"

It was a thundering voice that brought a tremor into our inner beings, and which revealed that within the frail body before us was the Power and Glory of God, and it was God who had spoken.
