A NEW THEORY OF CREATION

A NEW THEORY OF CREATION
==============================================
From the Thoughts of my Father, HH Shri Bhola Nathji (1902-1992) a Great Spiritual Luminary of his time.
==============================================

Has one ever thought why God created the world and put human beings and life into it?
In the beginning there was God and only God. As various scriptures of the world have said: there was neither light nor darkness, neither space nor time, neither dead matter nor human life.
And then God said: "Akohambahusyaam" -- "I am One, let there be many!" And the world came into existence!
Or, He said :"Let there be Light and there was Light!" And the world came into existence!"
Or He said: "Kun!" and Fayyakun". God said "Exist!" and there was Existence. The world came into existence!
But one could wonder why it was necessary for God to do so! He was Absolute Knowledge, Absolute Perfection, Absolute Bliss in Himself. He needed no "company" to drive away His loneliness. So why did He Create the world and put so many living beings on it?
As the New Theory goes:
In the beginning, all the human souls were with God in His Heaven. They were satisfied and content and in a state of Bliss. But as the ages passed, the countless years and centuries passed, these human beings in Heaven became accustomed to the absolute peace and contentment and bliss they were experiencing there.
They soon forgot that they were in such a beautiful place. Daily happiness on such a large scale was a dose more than they could take. Too much of a good thing given so freely is soon taken for granted and forgotten, and gratitude for it no longer exists.
In short, the human beings there ceased to experience the bliss they were experiencing there because they were getting it free daily for ages and ages. Heaven became a very ordinary everyday experience for them and they failed to appreciate what they were getting as a free gift.
And so God said to Himself:
"These people are no longer experiencing the Bliss of Heaven because it has become a commonplace experience for them.
They are no longer appreciating Light because they are perpetually in it.
"Let me send them elsewhere. Let me create a world where happiness cannot be experienced so easily. Let me put them in some darkness so that they may be able to appreciate light!
"Let them experience some pain and sorrow so that they may be better able to appreciate the happiness they were getting here in Heaven so freely! Let them experience the struggle for existence.
"Then when I call them back to myself here in Heaven, they will be better able to appreciate the Bliss of Heaven!"
And thus it was that He created the world and put all the souls there to exist in some living form or the other, until the time they could struggle to get back into Heaven again, purged of all sins, with the help of the Saviours and Messiahs and Prophets and Holy Men who God would send down to earth from time to time to remind the people that they were not beings who belonged to the world of suffering but rather beings who actually belonged to another world - Heaven!"
