Shri Nathji would often say: " I cannot see a Thorn with a Flower!"

And when people said: "But we have seen many flowers with thorns by their sides!"
And HH Shri Nathji said:
"There is a space between the flower and the thorn on the same twig.
"So when do you see the thorn?
"You see the thorn only when your eyes slip from the flower!"
"You have one pair of eyes. You can focus them only on one thing at a time.
"Either you focus them on the flower or you focus them on the thorn!
"For as long as your sight remains engrossed in the Flower it cannot focus on the thorn.
"When do you see the thorn?
"Only when your eyes slip from the flower!"
"So what is the thorn?
The thorn is the slipping of your eyes from the flower!"
"When your heart remains absorbed in Love, it cannot see hatred around itself!
"So what is hatred? It is the slipping of the sight from Love!
"In a like manner when your heart remains absorbed in God it cannot be perturbed by the thorn of sorrows and miseries of the world that surround you."
"When do the sorrows and miseries of the world come to you?
When your eyes slip from God and go towards the world!"
"Nazaron kaa phool se phisal jaanaa hee kaantaa hai!"
"The slipping of the eyes from the flower is another name for the thorn!"
