THE LORD UPON EARTH

THE LORD UPON EARTH
=============================================
Is it possible for us to imagine God walking in the midst of humanity, like a tourist passing through his Creation?
If He could come down upon earth in the past then He could surely do so in the present as well.
If the Sun has arisen in the sky yesterday, then surely it will rise again today.
He may come down once in thousands of years or he may come down once every century, He may come down every day if He so chooses.
He may be born in any country of the world and have any race or nationality He chooses. He may even be born elsewhere in other galaxies of the Universe. He may even be born simultaneously in many parts of the Universe if He so wills.
He is Master of His Will and there is no one who can dictate to Him.
He may come down upon earth and be recognized by very few, or else He may come down and be recognized by the whole world, or else He may come down and be recognized by no one.
He may come down and be recognized as a Great Master, a Great Prophet, a Messiah, a Great Avatar, or as simply a beautiful, kind and compassionate human being.
Some may even think of Him as an extra-terrestrial Being.
It makes no difference to Him what people think of Him, because everyone belongs to Him in any case, no matter where he is in the world. It makes no difference whether one person comes to Him or multitudes throng to Him. It makes no difference even if no one comes to him.
He purifies those who come into contact with him even without their knowing it, He takes away their sorrows and sufferings through his glance of Mercy. In fact His very presence upon earth purifies the earth itself and fills it with peace.
He remains in human form in a limited space and area, and yet He is connected to the whole world in an Invisible Form.
He is like the air in an empty glass which is the same as the air which is spread everywhere in the atmosphere of the world.
The question arises, if we met God walking alone in the streets of the world how would we recognize Him?
The answer: You can only recognize Him when He reveals Himself to you.
If you have a pure heart, and a genuine craving within you for God, then surely you will recognize Him.
Otherwise you will simply think of Him as someone very unique, filled with an unearthly glow, a divine being with a divine beauty hitherto never seen before.
Imagine an Artist who has created a beautiful painting, and the people are standing before it and admiring it, while the Artist Himself stands in the midst of the public watching his own painting!
This is how God comes down to earth to mingle with His Creation.
And when He feels His work on earth is over, He leaves the earth silently, just as silently as He had come, and returns to the Divine Abode where He resides in His Eternal, Immortal, Form.
