Time and again events come your way telling you that you must leave the world one day. Accidents, illnesses, old age, disease , all warn you that you have to go from this world one day.

And yet we wish to cling to life as if it is the only goal of human existence. We cling to health, wealth, prosperity and go to any lengths to secure these until our life is over.

And then suddenly when the last moment of life comes we wake up and realize that this world was indeed never our home... and we do not even know where our real home is...we go to an unknown destination.

The picture of the world is somewhat like this:

There is a train that is going on and on at a great speed. People get on at various stations and get off at various stations.

When we board the train we find the compartment occupied by others before us. Others board the train after we have seated ourselves.

Some get off in our presence and we get off in the presence of some.

This is the painting of the World, and this is Life.

The journey is towards home. Remember thy house well before thou board the train. If thou forget thy destination, then thy journey is for the sake of a journey only and has no meaning.

There is a destination. It is well if thy journey be comfortable but keep in mind that thy house must be comfortable, too.

In every moment that passes by, remember this, that thou must put an end to the journey, for it is only for this that the journey was begun. Make not this train thy home, for thy home is where thou must live always. And that is the house of thy Beloved Lord.
